I so enjoy Bones and Maddock's interactions. They work well together, almost like they know what the other one will do. They trust each other in the most dangerous moments. And they have a humor between them that makes me smile, and even breaks up the dire moments a bit to keep the reader light hearted and going.****FULL REVIEW*****This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBlast dot com, at my request.Bone [...]

I finished listening to this today, and the combination of a Maddock and Bones story and Jeffrey Kafer narration can't be beat. I really enjoyed the Noah storyline in this book and thought it was handled well. I am always sorry for these stories to end, as they are highly entertaining, as well as historical. Excellent job!

    • Alan says:

This series on the Dane Maddock adventures keep getting better and better with each book. As is usual with David Wood, he has artfully spun a tale with events in history that help guide the storyline along.

    • Ansonj says:

The action was good, the story kept moving along nicelyme of the scenarios and the the science fiction part of it was a bit unrealistic with the stones and how they act and the way that the secret passageways popped up and opened. . also the way Bones was perving on Dima through the book was a bit of a turn off. This is the first book in this series that I have read, and I did like that it was kind of similar to Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt series. A nice light reading.

"Da Vinci Code meets Raiders of the Lost Ark"Ark by Dave Wood is a fast paced action thriller including secret societies, religious relics, treasure hunting, and so much more. The Audiobook is done very well by the professional work of Jeffrey Kafer; you cannot go wrong with his narration. The book kept me engaged and wanting to know how the adventure was going to end and how many people would lose their lives in the process. If you asked me to give a quick summary of the book, think a blending [...]

I love Maddock and Bones, I sometimes forget until I read/ or listen to another story and then I'm right back in the thick of things with them. The one liners are hilarious and definite laugh of loud moments. The story is intriguing and entertaining. It has a great mix of mystery, action and humour. Who's more fun in action/adventure: Cussler, Indiana Jones, or Dane and Bones? Glad there is no reason to choose, but simply enjoy as many as I can! David Wood has a prolific imagination and I have enjoyed every one of the Dane and Bones that I've read. Each stands alone very well. This one entwines known written record with fantasy and real creativity. See publisher's blurb for plot clues and skip the spoilers to get the greatest enjoyment of the suspense. The humor will have you snorting your [...]

This audiobook had you engaged from the beginning, I really need to go back and listen to this series from the start, not that you in anyway need to in order to enjoy this book, it's just the dynamic between Dane and Bones is so intriguing, I just want to know how their relationship started! They're so opposite but compliment each other so well. You can't pigeonhole this book, it's a mystery, a suspense and part paranormal, heck I don't know what it is, it's a mash up and it works! In this story [...]

Maddock and Bone are back again for another adventure. It is a little more personal this time as it involves family. Bone's grandfather was attacked by men demanding that he turn over information about the family secret. This begins the boys adventure to locate Noah's Ark of the Old Testament. Maddock and Bones head to a remove site of a Civil War battlefield to find a stone. There adventure is very off beat as a group of men attack Bones and then proceed to hunt him. Seriously? They think they [...]

Note: In exchange for an unbiased review, the author, publisher, and/or narrator were kind enough to provide an audio version of this book at no charge via AudiobookBoom. This was my first exposure to the Dane Maddock series and it was pretty good. It's a lighthearted adventure, akin to Indiana Jones. By lighthearted, I don't mean to say there weren't serious moments of danger or action. I mean that the characters don't have a lot of depth to them and the story feels rather formulaic. It doesn't [...]

I was rather torn between giving this book 3 or 4 stars. I went with 4 because it was entertaining but if you're looking for realism then you need to look elsewhere. There was lots of action and the archeological aspect was fun but, again, it was quite farfetched. There were few editorial oversights but I've read books that had worse. They were annoying but not plentiful enough that they were too distracting. The story was good enough that I'll likely read the next book should one come out.

    • Lee Ann says:

The newest and best Maddock and Bones adventure yet! Ark gives us the chance to delve a bit more into the personal lives of Dane and Bones. An attack on Bones' grandfather sends the duo on a quest into a Bonebrake family legend and further into one of history's mysteries, Noah's ark. This book was exciting and hard to put down!

    • Lyn says:

Ever heard of the Noah stones? Dane and Bones team up with archaeologist Dima Zafrani in an exciting adventure finding a cryptic manuscript, magical stones and an artifact that has been hidden for centuries. The evil group,Trident, is hot on their tail . This is a great non-stop thriller you won't want to miss! I received this book in exchange for an honest review

    • David says:

Riddled with grammar errorsI love the Dane and Bones stories. This book was a good story for me, but the text is riddled with grammar errors. Almost every chapter had these errors. I think the final edit was simply a spell checker. No editor worth his salt would have missed this many errors. Three stars because I'm a fan, but two stars is fairer for a paid book.
